With this design, I wanted to create something pretty, that takes on a more disturbing meaning when looked at with knowledge of its inspiration. Adhesions is an abstract design inspired by endometriosis - a disease that affects approximately 1 in 7 women in Australia. In endometriosis, tissue that is similar to the lining of the uterus occurs in other parts of the body, causing chronic pain, fatigue, and sometimes infertility.
